Una gran ciudad construida por los antiguos mayas, y descubierta hace casi un siglo, está comenzando a revelar sus secretos, como el del calendario maya más antiguo descubierto hasta la fecha que no aporta indicios sobre la creencia popular de que el mundo pueda acabar en 2012. El hallazgo, publicado por la revista Science, desmonta la teoría de quienes auguran que el mundo se acabará en 2012 basándose en los 13 ciclos del calendario maya, conocidos como ‘baktun’, ya que tiene 17 ‘baktunes’. + info
